“A 2026 build on the water in Sunset Park. Here's what Crescent Homes put into it — and why none of it was an accident.”
This house sits on a canal in Sunset Park, one of the best neighborhoods in Tampa. It was finished in 2026 and built by Crescent Homes — a Tampa company run by Calvin Baty, who has been building homes for over 30 years and has built more than 3,500 of them. He built this one.
The first thing you notice when you walk in are the ceilings. 11 feet 4 inches on the main floor. Most new houses don't come close to that. The whole main level opens up toward the pool and the water, so inside and outside feel like the same space.
The kitchen has Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances. These aren't marketing words — Sub-Zero is what serious kitchens actually use. The finishes and materials throughout the home were selected by an NCIDQ-certified interior designer, which is the real professional credential, not just someone with a good eye.
The primary bedroom is on the first floor. That sounds simple, but it changes how you live. You wake up, walk out, and you're at the pool. No stairs. The bathroom has the kind of shower where you stop rushing.
Upstairs there's a junior suite, a media room, a family lounge, and a balcony that stretches across the back of the house. A private elevator connects both floors.
The pool is 24 by 18 feet, with a sun shelf and a swim-out bench built into the water. It runs on a Pentair system with IntelliCenter automation and LED lighting — all controlled from your phone. Out back, they just put in a new seawall. A dock with a 20,000-pound boat lift is going in.
The garage fits three cars and is already wired for an EV charger and pre-wired for a car lift if you ever want one. The whole house runs on a Lutron smart system for lighting and shades. It has natural gas and is set up for a generator hookup.
Six bedrooms. Five full baths. Two half baths. 5,665 square feet. Brand new. On the water.
Nothing needs to be done. Nothing was cut short.
